This "milk"shake is rich, thick, and chocolate-peanut-buttery! I whip one of these up for breakfast, snack, or dessert. The best part is that this is dairy and gluten free, refined sugar free, and packed with protein!
Ingredients:
For Shake:
1.5 frozen bananas
1/4 cup nut milk (I used unsweetened cashew milk)
2 tbsp coconut sugar (or 2 pitted dates)
1 tbsp nut butter (I used almond butter)
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
For Decoration:
1/4 cup mixed nuts
1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
1/4 tsp coconut oil
Directions:
Step 1: Add the bananas, nut milk, coconut sugar, nut butter, and vanilla extract to a blender. Blend until smooth. If the blender if having trouble, you may need to add more nut milk.
Step 2: Add the chocolate chips to the blender and pulse until they are chopped. Serve as is, or if you wish to decorate your cup, complete the following steps before pouring the milkshake.
Step 3: In a bowl, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30 second blasts (stirring in between) until the chocolate is melted.
Step 4: Put the mixed nuts in a plastic bag and crunch with a bottle/can/jar. Empty the bag into a bowl.
Step 5: Turn over a empty glass cup/jar and dip the rim in the melted chocolate. Next, dip the chocolate covered rim into the bowl with crushed nuts.
Step 6: While holding the cup at an angle, drizzle the remaining melted chocolate.
Step 7: Pour in the milkshake and ENJOY!
