This is my go-to sweet tooth eliminator! It seriously tastes like a decadent treat, but is actually healthy. The coconut oil+dark chocolate combo gives the treat a crunchy hard shell. I love to add yummy toppings for extra texture and flavor. Also, you can make a couple extra, and pop them in the freezer, for a snack on the go!
Ingredients:
1/2 banana
1 wooden stick
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1/4 cup topping of choice (cereal, freeze dried fruit, chopped nuts, dried coconut, etc)
Prep:
Step 1: Peel bananas and cut them in half.
Step 2: Stick a wooden stick into the banana.
Step 3: Put bananas in an airtight bag/container.
Step 4: Freeze for a minimum of 2 hours.
Directions:
Step 1: Add chocolate and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl.
Step 2: Microwave for 30 seconds, and stir. Microwave in 15-30 second intervals (stirring in between) until the chocolate chips are melted. Let cool slightly.
Step 3: Remove a banana pop from the freezer and place on a plate.
Step 4: Using a spoon, drizzle the cooled, melted chocolate over the banana. Before the chocolate hardens fully, add toppings (if desired).
Step 5: Continue this process as you rotate the banana.
Step 6: Enjoy!
