Difficulty: Easy

Time: 15 Minutes

Serves: 2

I love making this smoothie for breakfast. Is is super tasty, and fuels me for my day ahead. If I feel like I need to cleanse my body, (say.. after the holidays?!) this smoothie never fails to make me feel healthy and de-bloated! The thick berry swirl is rich and sweet while the diluted berry and orange juice swirl lighten up the drink and add so much flavor.

Ingredients:

2 cup nut milk (I used coconut milk)

2 cups mixed berries

1/2 cup orange juice

5 dates

Directions:

Step 1: Add 1 cup nut milk, dates, and mixed berries into a blender. Blend until smooth. Divide this thick berry mixture between the cups that you wish to serve the smoothies in.

Step 2: WITHOUT washing out the blender, add 1/2 cup of the nut milk to the blender. Scrape the sides of the blender with a silicone spatula and blend on low. Divide this diluted berry mixture between the cups that you wish to serve the smoothies in.

Step 3: Rinse out the blender, and add the orange juice and the last 1/2 cup of nut milk. Blend on low until combined. Divide this orange juice mixture between the cups that you wish to serve the smoothies in.

Step 4: Using a spoon, gently swirl the layers together. Enjoy!
